Genshin beta is testing a new mechanism to download game files that would somewhat reduce the amount of data needed to be downloaded, like when a new patch drops.
Not sure when this will be live given how big this change is nor which games will be using this.
Sadly I don't have enough samples to say how big the difference is either yet, as it's been used only once for patching.
As far as I could investigate (because I don't know any Android testers) so far it seems to apply to the PC client/launcher.
This also should ease a bit on the unzip requirements as well. But I think this is overall a great change if implemented properly.
